    Do I need to sign up for the renewed website?

    Scholarship recipients who wish to participate in community activities (for scholarship recipients only) must sign up.

    *Community activities include student search, discussion boards, gallery, certificate printing, etc.

    Where are scholarships deposited?

    Scholarship funds are deposited in bulk into each school’s account and are then disbursed to students by the school.

    Is a leave of absence allowed during the scholarship period?

    Please notify the Secretariat in advance when taking or returning from a leave of absence.

    (For an unregistered leave of absence, scholarship payments will resume in the semester of return. For a registered leave of absence, payments will resume in the semester following the return.)

    Do scholarship recipients need to apply and be selected every year?

    Once selected, recipients continue to receive scholarships throughout the funding period, provided they maintain the required academic standards.

    Undergraduate Programs – 3 years (6 semesters) / New recipients selected in the second year

    When are scholarship recipients selected?

    Announcements are made every January, and selections take place in February.

    (Official notices are sent to each school.)

    What are the eligibility requirements for scholarship applicants?

    [General Eligibility]

    Priority is given to students experiencing financial difficulties who have received recommendations from their academic advisor or homeroom teacher.

    *Priority is given to students from low-income backgrounds, including recipients of basic livelihood support, near-poverty households, multicultural families, and single-parent or orphaned households.

     

    [Graduate School (Integrated Master’s and Doctoral Programs)]

    Students ranked within the top 30% of admitted applicants

     

    [Undergraduate Programs]

    Second-year students with a GPA of B+ or higher in the previous academic year

    *If academic standards are not met after selection:

    First Instance – Warning

    Second Instance – Automatic Disqualification

    Disqualification may be deferred upon submission of a written explanation to the Secretariat.

     

    [High Schools (Science High School)]

    Students intending to pursue medical or pharmaceutical studies are excluded.

    *If admitted to a medical or pharmaceutical program, the full scholarship must be returned to the Foundation.

    Students who have obtained or are expected to obtain a technical certification
